Rainbow Warriors defeat Long Beach State

The second-ranked University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team held off No. 5 Long Beach State, 30-23, 30-22, 36-38, 30-22, tonight in the Pyramid in California.The Warriors, who improved to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, served for match point eight times in Game 3.
The 49ers fell to 7-4 and 3-3.
UH senior outside hitter Tony Ching led the Warriors with 19 kills.
The rematch is Friday night in the Pyramid, concluding the Warriors' four-match road trip.
