Rain postpones softball games

The opening day of Hawai'i's Chevron Paradise Classic softball tournament was postponed today because of rain.

A revised schedule has been set for tomorrow through Sunday.

The Rainbows will play Louisville at 6 p.m. and Oklahoma State at 8 p.m. tomorrow. On Saturday, they will play Santa Clara at 6 p.m. and Washington at 8 p.m.

There is no admission charge for UH softball this season.

Meanwhile the O'ahu Interscholastic Association softball semifinal between Pearl City and Kailua was postponed because of rain. The game will be made up 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Kailua High School field.

As of 2:30 p.m. today, the three other OIA softball games scheduled for today were being played, according to sport coordinator Elden Esmeralda of Kapolei High.
