starting center fielder, Castle became victim No. 62 yesterday.

Miki Asamura pitched a four-hitter and went 3-for-3 with a run-scoring double to help Mililani defeat the visiting Knights, 2-0, in the OIA semifinals. The Trojans (12-0) will play the winner of today's Kailua-Leilehua semifinal for the championship at about 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Kailua.

The Kailua-Leilehua game was rained out yesterday.

Mililani, the OIA's four-time defending champion, defeated Castle (10-2) in extra innings in last year's title game. But Castle's pitcher in that game, Lia Pedrina, injured her tailbone on the bases during Wednesday's quarterfinal victory over Kapolei.

She was not in uniform yesterday. Also missing from the lineup was starting center fielder Sachelle Featheran, who was sick. Featheran is one of the Knights' best hitters.

Catcher Anuhea Young took the mound and pitched well, but doubles by the Trojans' Charity Senas and Asamura produced one run in the first inning, and Senas' home run over the left-center field fence made it 2-0 in the third.

That was enough for Asamura, who struck out five.

"Miki is awesome," Castle coach Jon Berinobis said. "She hits her spots and mixes it up, and her catcher (Erika Au) does a great job with her pitches. We struck out 11 times against her the last time we played (in the preseason), and we had only five today, so I guess that's a positive note."

Asamura has been a positive force for Mililani all season, but so has Senas. While Asamura has drawn the headlines for perfect games, Senas was batting .564 during the regular season with three home runs and 20 RBIs.

Her home run yesterday was the second in as many days.

"She's a strong hitter, very disciplined at the plate," Berinobis said. "She the type who can carry a team."
