Weekly Thoughts

A fable tells of a rich man who inquired of another man why he followed him. The man replied, "Because I admire the necklace of pearls you are wearing." Then the rich man gave him the pearls. The man went away but next day came back saying, "I have come to return your pearls. The anxiety of possessing a thing of such great value destroys my happiness. I am happier without it."

Thoughts by the late Rev. Paul Osumi are selected weekly by his family.
