Weddings

Courtney Lynne Carrera, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Carrera of New York, and James Franklin Bernard, son of Sue Bernard of New York and Ronald Bernard of Honolulu, were married Aug. 23 at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hawaii. A reception followed at the hotel. The bride (Dwight High) is a manager for an adolescent pregnancy-prevention program. The groom (McBurney High), formerly of Honolulu, is a vice president at an investments firm. They live in New York City.

Angela Liana Naone and David Michael Madden were married Dec. 24 at Hawai'i Civil Marriages. A reception followed. The bride (1989, Kalani High), now Angela Liana Naone-Madden, is a homemaker. The groom (1991, Waialua High) is an air-conditioner mechanic. They have a son, Davin Michael-Akeakamai Madden, 1, and live in Waialua.
