Hawaiian Air starts self-service check-in
Advertiser Staff
As part of its effort to automate service, Hawaiian Airlines installed eight self-service check-in terminals at the Honolulu International Airport, the company said yesterday. The terminals allow customers, who have bought a ticket in advance, to get a boarding pass at the self-service terminal. Passengers use a credit card or Hawaiian frequent flier card to identify themselves and follow touch screen instructions to get the boarding pass and baggage tags. The bags are then handed to a customer service agent.
In the coming months, Hawaiian plans to add Web site check-in from home or office.
