UH softball team loses

Lauren Bay pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and Oklahoma State slammed two home runs to eliminate Hawai'i, 3-0, yesterday in the Chevron Paradise Classic at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
Oklahoma State scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning on a solo home run by second baseman Calli Behmer and a two-run home run from catcher Ryan Realmuto.
Bay faced just 24 batters over seven innings, walked three and allowed a double to Hawai'i first baseman Stacey Porter and a single to left fielder Justina Kahaku.
Hawai'i's Shannon Tabion pitched 5á innings and allowed three hits, three runs and two walks. Paula Blanning pitched 1¡ innings of scoreless relief.
After defeating Louisville and Oklahoma State on Friday, Hawai'i (2-3) lost three tournament games in a row.
In the championship game, No. 6 Washington defeated Oklahoma State, 3-2.
WATER POLO
UH women drop two: The University of Hawai'i women's water polo team lost two matches yesterday, including a 6-5 loss to No. 6 San Jose State in the fifth-place game, at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif.
Hawai'i (1-3) lost to No. 3 USC, 9-5, earlier in the day.
