Advertiser Staff

Heavy rains and damp playing fields have forced changes in two high school state tournaments today.

The state softball tournament has postponed semifinal games scheduled for tonight until tomorrow, according to Hawai'i High School Athletic Association officials.

Officials said a quarterfinal between Mililani and Baldwin, which was postponed last night, is scheduled to be played at 7 tonight pending weather and field conditions at the University of Hawai'i's Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

Tomorrow, Waimea is scheduled to play Kailua at 6 p.m. and Kamehameha will play the winner of the Mililani-Baldwin game at 8.

The third place and championship games are scheduled for Sunday.

In the state boys soccer tournament, a consolation game between Hilo and Kaua'i, was scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Complex.

The semifinals remain scheduled for tonight with Punahou facing Pearl City at 6 p.m. and Kamehameha meeting Mililani at 8.
