Wilson three back at Buick Invitational

Advertiser Staff and News Services

Hawai'i's Dean Wilson shot a 1-under-par 71 today and was three shots behind the leaders after the second round of the PGA Buick Invitational golf tournament at the Torrey Pines Golf Course's South Course at San Diego.

Marco Dawson (66 in the second round) and Brad Faxon (64) led the tournament at 134.

Five golfers were at 135. Tiger Woods, in his first tournament of the season following recovery from knee surgery, was with three others at 136 after a 66 in the second round.

Wilson, a Castle High alum, was one shot behind leader Arron Oberholser after the first round, which was completed earlier in the day. Fog and rain postponed completion of the first round yesterday.

Others at 137 with Wilson, include Phil Mickelson and Fred Couples.
