STAGE

 •  Love, life and death late in the night

Late night at the Earle Ernst Lab Theatre is back this season with two plays paired to examine the heavy elements of the human experience. "Tongues" and "Savage/Love" use masks, puppets and percussion to explore love, life and death. The two pieces combine poetry, dance and rhythm for a performance-art experience.

"Tongues" follows an average person who realizes her own death and begins an adventure through the land of the living.

"Savage/Love" follows couples through the various phases of their relationships.

Showings are at 11 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 21-22, and 8 p.m. Sunday. A post-show rap follows the Feb. 21 performance. Tickets are $7 general; $6 students, seniors, military, UH faculty and staff; and $3 UH-Manoa students. 956-7655.
