Kalaheo gains OIA quarterfinals

Sam Wilhoite scored 24 points and Kalaheo survived a second-half comeback by Kapolei to beat the Hurricanes, 65-56, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Tournament first-round game last night.
Warren Simanu scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half to key the comeback by Kapolei, which trailed 36-17 at the half.
