Physicians to give joint lecture

Jay and Stuart Levy, identical twin brothers who are both physicians and who have done research in the AIDS field and in antibiotic resistance, will give a joint lecture at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's Campus Center Ballroom as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series.
In 1983 Jay Levy co-discovered the AIDS virus, now called HIV.
He is conducting studies to develop an AIDS vaccine. He is also editor-in-chief of the journal AIDS and a professor at the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco.
Stuart Levy is a professor of molecular biology, microbiology and medicine, and director of the Center for Adaptation Genetics and Drug Resistance at Tufts.
