Hawai'i's "American Idol" hopeful, Jordan Segundo, performed Stevie Wonder's "For Your Love" tonight on Fox TV.

But the show's judges said his performance lacked joie de vivre. Simon Cowell called Segundo a "fish on a slab."

During tonight's show, eight contestants were trying for a slot in the Top 10. The two winners will be announced tomorrow.

Segundo, the 18-year-old Farrington High senior, last week said he knew the show would be challenging.

"Some people think this is all fun and games," Segundo said. "It's not. This is a serious competition."
