The tumultuous world of love and relationships will be explored in a sassy new cabaret show, "Seduction," premiering at 9 p.m. on March 13 at The ARTS at Marks Garage.
Written and directed by Andrew Meader, the show deals with four women and explores their experiences in life, love and romance. In a sense, the production puts a tuneful spin on HBO's sex drama, "Sex and the City," with explorations on the distaff take on romance.
The cast of four reflects four "types" of women:
- The naive and coy lover, played by Naomi Mall, who expects to find her knight in shining armor.
- Her slightly more seasoned counterpart, Julie Capili, who will do nearly anything for the thrill of a new relationship.
- The passionate and exotic femme fatale, played by Zenia Zambrano, who heats up the evening with her own brand of sultry style.
- The experienced, been-there, done-that woman, played by Katie Doyle, who shares secrets on how to really get what you want from your man.
The play boasts 20 tunes, with John Bryan as musical director.
Performances will be at 9 p.m. March 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22.
Tickets: $18, with a two-drink minimum.
Reservations: 521-9699.
