Seven water jobs under way

The Honolulu Board of Water Supply has begun work on seven construction projects, estimated at $3.6 million, to improve water service and facilities.

  • A $1.17 million contract was awarded to KORL Construction to install 8- and 12-inch water lines and related equipment along Black Point Road and Black Point Place; Papu Circle from Kula'imanu Street to Kaiko'o Place; and along Royal Circle and Royal Place.
  • A $1.04 million contract was awarded to Inter Island Construction to install a control building, pump unit and other equipment to connect Manana Well off Kuala Road in Pearl City to the Board of Water Supply distribution system.
  • Jas. W. Glover Ltd. got a $286,775 contract to renovate electrical equipment at the Makiki booster station on Makiki Heights Drive.
  • Thurston-Pacific got a $675,204 contract to install 8-inch water lines and related equipment along Kakaina Street from Mahailua to Waikupanaha, and along Mahailua from Waikupanaha to Kakaina in Waimanalo.
  • Mel's Water Works Hawai'i got a $46,156 contract to replace a pump at Luluku Well off Likelike Highway in Kane'ohe.
  • Inter Island Construction was awarded a $259,246 contract to replace flow meters at three sites in 'Aiea — at the Ka'amilo wells and booster off Ka'amilo Street; Kalauao wells off Iho Place; and Newtown wells and booster off Piki Street.
  • A $188,675 contract was awarded to Jas. W. Glover Ltd. to replace a pump at the Makakilo Booster No. 1 station off Makakilo Drive.
