University tips Damien

David Johnson scored a game-high 16 points, including two 3-pointers, and John Duro added 11 as University High defeated Damien, 50-44, in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Postseason Tournament.

Keoni Steinhoff scored 13 points to lead Damien.

The tournament will decide the ILH's third representative to next week's state tournament.

MARYKNOLL 58, MID-PACIFIC 47: The Spartans outscored the Owls 18-10 in the third quarter to extend their three-point halftime lead.

Michael Faria scored 12 points to lead Maryknoll while Brandyn McCall had a game-high 18 points for Mid-Pacific.
