College workshop set for Wailuku

The Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association is sponsoring a college workshop on March 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at Cameron Center Auditorium (95 Mahalani Street, Wailuku, Maui).

The workshop is for juniors and parents. It is designed to help students get admitted to the college of their choice and secure academic and/or athletic scholarships.

Topics include how and when to start preparing for college, tips for applying for financial aid and scholarships, information on scholarship matching services and building resumes and NCAA regulations and recruitment.

The 2002-2003 Ping American College Golf Guide and NCAA Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete, and other publications will be distributed.

Pre-registration is not necessary. The workshop is free for HSJGA members and $5 for non-members.
