Advertiser Staff

Hawai'i Pacific won two of three games against Montana State-Billings yesterday in Pacific West Conference action at the Hawai'i Pacific Softball field in Kane'ohe.

The first game went into extra innings, with the Sea Warriors scoring a run in the bottom of the 10th to win 6-5. The game was resumed from Friday night when it was suspended in the fifth inning because of rain.

The Sea Warriors stranded 13 runners in a 4-2 second-game loss — they had seven hits and seven walks — and were frustrated by Yellowjackets' pitcher Megan McCrae.

In the third game, Jessica Parra allowed one run on four hits, and was helped by Tascha Berinobis (2-for-4) and Holly Garcia (2-for-3) at the plate in a 3-1 win.

HPU improved to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the PacWest.
