Palau airline, Aloha in talks

Aloha Airlines is negotiating a contract to manage a new airline in the Republic of Palau.

Under the agreement Aloha would assist the airline, being launched by Palau businessman Alan Seid, in areas such as training, maintenance, marketing and regulation compliance. The contract has not been finalized , Aloha spokesman Stu Glauberman said.


Web site for travel agents

Hawaiian Airlines is launching a new Web site for travel agents to view special fares and deals.

The site, www.HawaiianAirTravel.com, will provide travel information and ease the way for agents to earn commissions. This summer travel agents will also be able to book flights on the site.

Travel agents are asked to register on the Web site, which will allow them to track flights, order materials and find out about promotional sales and commission deals.


Verizon offers DSL package

Verizon Hawaii is bundling its high-speed DSL Internet access service with local and long-distance service.

The package saves non-business customers $15 off the $49.95 monthly price for DSL service or $2.95 off dial-up Internet access, the company said.

A bundled package for business shaves 10 percent off the cost for DSL service.
