Former editor of Advertiser to be honored

Friends and colleagues of the late George Chaplin, former editor of The Advertiser, are invited to an informal gathering and reception in his honor from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Temple Emanu-El, 2550 Pali Highway.

Those attending will be invited to make brief remarks if they wish.

Chaplin, editor of The Advertiser from 1959 to 1986, died last week in Virginia at age 88.
