Small business more optimistic

Small-business owners have grown more optimistic about Hawai'i's business climate, an annual survey of the National Federation of Independent Business indicates.
The Hawai'i chapter of the small-business advocacy group attributed the change to the election of Republican Gov. Linda Lingle.
Fifty-one percent of the sample of members surveyed said they were more optimistic about the business climate than a year ago, 26 percent were not so optimistic, 18 percent were undecided and the remainder had no response.
