Degree, along with the Ironman, is sponsoring the Search for the Degree Everyman Ironman Contest to give one recipient a chance to train for six months in La Jolla, Calif., a trip for two to the Ironman World Championship in Kailua, Kona, and a place in the Ironman Florida.

The winner will receive salary reimbursement during the six-month training period (up to $50,000), lodging and living expenses and the two trips.

To enter, submit a 100-word essay that describes why you want to be a triathlete. Entrants must be a U.S. resident and older than 18.
