Micro enterprise class planned

The Honolulu Community Action Program will hold a micro enterprise training class on how to start a business, and on such issues as business loans, taxes and marketing, from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Tuesday, and next Wednesday at 85-5555 Farrington Highway.

The class is free to low-income individuals. Call Annette or Robert. 521-4531.


Financing class set for Jan. 23

The Hawai'i Small Business Resource Center will hold a seminar on small business financing from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 23 at 1041 Nu'uanu Ave., Suite A. There is a fee. Call 522-8131, Ext. 221.


Course on selling arts, crafts set

The Minority Business Development Center of Honolulu will host a course on marketing for artists and crafts people. The course will cover pricing products, retailing and merchandising techniques, tax, legal and copyright basics.

The course will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Jan. 25. The $65 fee includes box lunch, workbook, refreshments and certificate of completion; location to be announced. Call Vicky Duenas at 521-6221 or e-mail: vicky@mbdchonolulu.com.


Computer boot camps offered

Hawai'i Small Business Resource Center conducts computer boot camps to help small business owners use technology to improve operations and management.

Camps are from 3 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday at 1041 Nu'uanu Ave., Suite A; fee $25, $20 in advance; new clients must attend an orientation at 9 a.m. Tuesdays or 2 p.m. Thursdays. 522-8131, Ext. 221.
