Man sought by police arrested
A 38-year-old man who is wanted for questioning in a fatal shooting near Waipahu High School Aug. 21 was arrested yesterday.
Erick Ledford was arrested yesterday morning at a Waikiki hotel following a CrimeStoppers tip, police said. Ledford, who was being sought on a parole violation for a counterfeiting case, is also wanted for questioning in the Aug. 21 murder of Hayward Julio, police said.
Recovered during Ledford's arrest were computer equipment estimated at $10,000, a rental vehicle, and sophisticated credit card forging equipment, police said.
Man charged in rock-throwing
Police have charged a 38-year-old Kaimuki man in connection with two rock-throwing incidents on 15th Avenue that occurred in October and early December.
David S. Meyer was charged Tuesday with two counts of first-degree criminal property damage and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
Meyer is accused of throwing a rock at the windshield of a car being driven by a 16-year-old boy on Oct. 13. On Dec. 2, a 60-year-old motorist who stopped to ask for directions said a man became angry at him and threw a rock through his windshield. The motorist said the man took a cellphone from his car and broke it by throwing it on the ground.
Man accused of shooting at pair
A 21-year-old man was charged Monday with allegedly shooting at two men who were in a car outside of the World Cafe at 1130 N. Nimitz Highway.
Bradley Lamar Enoch, 21, is charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder and firearm offenses. His bail totals $100,000.
Auto theft suspect arrested in Ma'ili
An off-duty police officer's report of a suspicious vehicle cruising in a Ma'ili neighborhood late Monday night led to the arrest of a man on suspicion of auto theft.
John Orso was charged yesterday with auto theft and additional firearm and drug offenses when police recovered a sawed-off loaded shotgun and ammunition and drugs in the car. Orso is being held in lieu of $70,000 bail.
