Broncos sign QB Rolovich to deal

Former University of Hawai'i quarterback Nick Rolovich was among six free agents signed by the Denver Broncos yesterday.
He signed with Denver prior to last season as an undrafted free agent, but was released Aug. 31 after playing in just one preseason game.
Rolovich, of Novato, Calif., tried out unsuccessfully for the Dallas Cowboys before going to Denver's camp last summer.
Rolovich went 8-1 as a starter for the Warriors in 2001 and broke 19 school passing records. He passed for 3,361 yards and 34 touchdowns, and his primary target was Ashley Lelie, who was chosen by Denver in the first round of the 2002 draft. Rolovich finished fourth in the nation in total offense.
None of the six signees played in the NFL this past season. They will join the Broncos' roster when the season ends in February.
