She is a graduate of Punahou School and Seattle University. Wong is working on a master's in social work with a concentration in child and family therapy at UH.

Her parents are Wayson and Pamela Wong.

Sheri Sui Gee Chun, Tricia Kwai Lin Say, Allison Yuk-Ling Tai and Sue-Ping Kuo were named princesses of the pageant.

The festival is sponsored by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
