PETER C.P. CHAR, a prominent medical malpractice attorney and chief campaign fund raiser for Mayor Jeremy Harris, died Sunday after a brief illness. He was 59. See story.

YUKIO NAITO, a retired attorney who was the chairman of the Public Utilities Commission during a period that saw tremendous growth in the telecommunications industry, died Jan. 2. He was 74. See story.
