SABRINA ALESNA-MINDORO

Baldwin softball

Pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs to help the Bears defeat Maui, 8-5, and remain unbeaten in the MIL.

Scored 14 points in a 68-45 loss to Iolani, 12 points in a 59-44 victory over Damien and 17 points in a 47-35 win over Maryknoll.

Mililani softball

Pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 3-0 victory over Leilehua, then pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks in a 1-0 win over Campbell.

Senior scored 26 points in a 68-48 victory over Kailua and had 16 points, including 14 in the first half, of the Rough Riders' 52-40 win over Kahuku.

Won two events and broke a 20-year-old Kalani Invitational meet record in the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 41.71 seconds.

Freshman won two events and set a Kalani Invitational record in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.44 seconds.

Scored a game-high 18 points in the Mustangs' 43-41 victory at Kahuku.

McKinley basketball

Scored 19 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, to help the Tigers defeat Kalani, 62-48.

Went 3-for-4 with a double to help the Warriors defeat Hilo, 6-2, and remain unbeaten in the BIIF.

Junior point guard scored a season-high 28 points in a 68-45 victory over Punahou and 21 points in a 61-32 win over Damien.

Junior scored 14 points in the Bulldogs' 55-48 victory over Farrington and had a game-high 19 points in a 65-51 win over Kalani.

Radford basketball

Scored 18 points in a 58-52 victory over Campbell and had 16 points, including 11 in the first half, in the Rams' 59-44 win over Kapolei.

MICAH MUNEKATA

Hawai'i Baptist soccer

Senior midfielder scored a combined four goals in a 5-0 victory over Mid-Pacific and a 3-2 loss to Damien. The victory was the Eagles' first since HBA's program was re-started this season after a 24-year hiatus.

Went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in the Sabers' 8-5 loss to unbeaten Baldwin.

Castle softball

Pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks in a 6-0 victory over Roosevelt, then pitched a two-hitter and scored the go-ahead run in an eight-inning, 2-0 win over Kaimuki.

Leilehua basketball

Scored 15 points in a 57-42 victory over Waipahu and had 12 points in a 76-51 win over Waialua.

KATE ROBINSON

Kamehameha softball

Pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and went 2-for-3 in a 10-0 victory over Mid-Pacific, then pitched a two-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk and went 2-for-3 in a 4-0 win over Iolani which kept the Warriors in a tie for first place in the ILH.

NOA SAKAMOTO

Punahou swimming

Won two silver medals for the US Junior National Team in the Australian Youth Olympic Festival at Sydney. Sakamoto finished second in the 400-meter freestyle, qualifying for the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials, and was the leadoff swimmer for Team USA's second-place 4x200 freestyle relay team. He was among 31 swimmers chosen for Team USA.

Scored a game-high 25 points, including five 3-point goals, in the Rams' 58-52 victory over Campbell.

Scored a game-high 20 points in the Governors' 57-47 loss to Kaiser.

Went 4-for-5 and drove in four runs to help the Warriors defeat Konawaena and remain unbeaten in the BIIF.
