Advertiser Staff

East O'ahu neighborhood shopping center Koko Marina Center has been put up for sale by owner Orix Real Estate Equities Inc., the U.S. unit of a Japanese conglomerate.

The leasehold Hawai'i Kai property, with 284,744 square feet of space, 60 tenants and 95 boat slips, is listed for $24.5 million by local real estate firm CB Richard Ellis Hawaii Inc.

The center, built in 1963, is 87 percent leased and has a roughly 40-year ground lease with Kamehameha Schools.

Orix, a unit of Tokyo-based Orix Corp., acquired the leasehold center in 1994 for $28.9 million, according to public records.
