Roadwork to close Kalaeloa Boulevard

State officials are warning motorists that Kalaeloa Boulevard will be closed at the Kalaeloa overpass all weekend for paving work. The road will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Department of Transportation.

The paving work will have the following effects on the Palailai Interchange, according to DOT:

• H-1 Freeway westbound motorists who wish to use Ramp C will need to detour through Kapolei.

• Ramp B will be closed, therefore motorists traveling eastbound on H-1 who wish to go to Campbell Industrial Park will need to take the H-1 off-ramp (Exit 1B) and detour through Kapolei.

• Motorists traveling northbound on Kalaeloa Boulevard who wish to go to H-1 westbound will need to detour through Kapolei and take Farrington Highway to get to the H-1 westbound on-ramp.

• Ramp C-1 from Kalaeloa Boulevard northbound to H-1 eastbound will have one lane open.
