Mercury may drop below 60 overnight

Advertiser Staff

Overnight temperatures in Hawai'i could dip below 60 degrees, National Weather Service forecasters said today.

Keep those blankets out, because temperatures likely will be between 58 and 64 degrees through tomorrow night, according to weather forecasters. The high will be around the mid-70s.

The forecast is for warmer weather at midweek before the next cold front rolls in on Friday, said National Weather Service lead forecaster Tim Craig.

"The overall pattern is for a series of cold fronts," Craig said. "I don't see any change in the game plan. After this cold front passes, we'll get good weather before the next cold front comes in Friday or Saturday."
