• The pros and cons of various marketplaces for local arts and crafts — Internet, retail, consignment, wholesale — will be one of the focuses of an extended course offering — "Business and Marketing for All Artists and Crafts People" — offered by the Minority Business Development Center of Honolulu. • Ways to get information offered on the Internet and the city's interactive Web sites will be discussed at a meeting of the local chapter of The Appraisal Institute: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Plaza Club, Pioneer Plaza. Speakers will be Jon Hodge, of the city Department of Planning and Permitting, and Randy Hiraki, of the city Real Property Assessment Division. There will be demonstrations and discussions on how to use the city's Geographic Information System — including zoning, land use and aerial photographs; the city's automated permit system that allows applicants to track progress; and using the Internet and public Intranet computers in the Real Property Assessment Division to gather information.
