Boatner accepts UH football scholarship

Lenny Boatner, a running back from Winston Academy in Louisville, Miss., has accepted a football scholarship from the University of Hawai'i.Boatner, who is 6 feet 1 and 168 pounds, can run 40 yards in 4.5 seconds. Boatner was named as his conference's Most Valuable Player.
Boatner received an offer from Alabama-Birmingham, and drew interest from Mississippi.
He is projected to play slotback in UH's run-and-shoot offense.
