Gov. Linda Lingle will unveil her plans this morning in her first State of the State address.

Lingle has said her tenure will focus on three areas: expanding and diversifying the economy, restoring trust in government and improving public schools.

She said she also would likely touch on healthcare, prescription drugs, homeland security, public safety, the environment and Native Hawaiian issues.

Lingle will deliver her address to a joint session of the House and Senate at 10 a.m. in the House chamber. The speech will be broadcast live on KGMB, KHNL, KITV, KHON, 'Olelo Community TV and KSSK Radio, and here online and also at www.hawaii.gov/gov.

KHET will air the speech at 11 p.m.

Six 61-inch TV monitors set up in the Capitol atrium will carry the speech live, and open seating will be available to the first 500 people.
