Jeremy Inferrera of Saint Louis School today accepted a football scholarship from the University of Hawai'i football team.
"Yeah, I made my decision today," he told The Advertiser. "I see the UH program only getting better, and I want to be part of that."
Inferrera, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound offensive lineman, was named to The Advertiser's All-State team. He has lettered in basketball and earned a medal in the discus in last year's state high school track and field championships.
He went on a recruiting trip to Arizona State last week and is scheduled to visit UH this weekend. But this afternoon, he notified the UH coaches of his decision to play for the Warriors. He will sign Feb. 5, the first day recruits may sign binding national letters of intent.
