Sygen International, a London-based biotech company, said it has finalized plans for a genetic nucleus facility in Hawai'i.

The Sygen operation uses the services of the Oceanic Institute under a 3-year contract. Earlier this month, the institute dedicated its new Nucleus Breeding Center for Marine Shrimp at Makapu'u.
