The woman, a student from Japan, was walking on Kaheka Street near Kanunu Street in the Ala Moana area around 8 p.m. when a gunman named Jack forced her into a car occupied by three other men.

She was taken to a First Hawaiian Bank ATM at Liliha Street, forced to withdraw cash, and then to a Bank of Hawaii ATM atNu'uanu Shopping Plaza, police said. The men then took her to Nu'uanu Pali Drive where two of them raped her. She was dropped off opposite 4151 Nu'uanu Drive where she was helped by a passer-by.

The gunman who approached her is in his mid-20s, 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 6, of stocky build and with a mustache. He wore a beanie cap, and carried a silver-colored pistol.

Another of the men — this one named Jim — is in his mid-20s, 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 6, of slim build. Another man is described as being in his mid-20s and of heavy build. The fourth suspect is a juvenile, 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 6, of slim build and with severe acne.

The car they used was a four-door, maroon compact with a "Bazooka"-type muffler.
