Tonight's Must-See

"Mister Sterling," 7 p.m., NBC. When the governor appointed Sterling (Josh Brolin) to Congress, he forgot to ask whether he was a Democrat or a Republican. It turns out that he is stridently independent. That makes things easier for him in Washington, but now there is a complication. Both parties are hustling to get a candidate in his district. This is only the third week for this promising series, so there's still time to jump in.

Of Note

"Presidio Med," 7 p.m., CBS. Harriet, the fertility doctor, is in trouble for performing an unapproved procedure.

"Hack," 8 p.m., CBS. In a rerun, a woman tells Hack that she and her daughter are eluding her abusive husband, who is a cop.

"Reba," 9 p.m., WB. Short on money, the divorced Reba is ready to sell her engagement ring.

"Queens Supreme," 9 p.m., CBS. If you missed the first two weeks of this show, jump in now. It blends comedy and drama skillfully in a New York courthouse. Tonight, a woman is charged with negligence after her daughter fell to her death.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. The investigation begins when a man dies in jail.
