Lee A. Tonouchi, a pidgin writer and activist, is seeking submissions for "Da Kine Dictionary." Pidgin word entries should include a definition and example sentence in pidgin, origin (optional) and the contributor's name, high school graduated from, graduation year, and city. Special Benefit Performance of "A Little Bit Like You," a play by Darrell Lum, for Bamboo Ridge Press publications and educational outreach programs, 2 p.m. Feb. 2, Kumu Kahua Theatre. Audience will be able to meet the cast and talk with the playwright. Tickets are $25 at Kumu Kahua Theatre box office or via 536-4441.

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Conference, with guest speakers Samantha McFerrin, G.
