Mililani's Asamura perfect pitcher again

Miki Asamura pitched a perfect game for the second time this season and struck out 10 as host Mililani (9-0) beat Pearl City (6-3), 3-0, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Western Division game yesterday.

Asamura, a senior right-hander, pitched a perfect game last Saturday in a 3-0 victory over Wai'anae.

She helped her own cause yesterday with an RBI double in a two-run first inning.

Two weeks ago, Asamura pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts against Campbell.

She also tossed a perfect game last season against Waipahu en route to winning all-state first-team honors.
