Chief engineer with Honolulu Fire Department, U.S. Merchant Marine, and University of Hawai'i Fish and Wildlife Research Program. Survived by sons, Joseph, Kalani and Lyle "Like" Fukumoto; daughters, Lynette Anderson, April Tecson, Donna-Mae Soares, Karma Ah Loy-Lima and Betty-Jean Al Loy-Boateng; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert "Koko," Valentine and Donald Ah Loy, and Charles Kahaleauki; sisters, Lucille Perreira, Janet "Onaona" Kamana'o and Barbara "Yuk Lun" Umiamaka.
