UH men's volleyball team drops to No. 2

As expected, the defending national champion University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team lost its top ranking in this week's USA Today/American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-15 Poll.The Warriors (5-1), who lost to Stanford in five games last Friday, ceded the No. 1 ranking to UC Irvine (9-0). UH is ranked No. 2 this week.
UH plays road matches against UC Irvine Friday and Saturday.
UC Irvine received 14 of the 16 first-place votes. UH received the other two No. 1 votes.
Brigham Young (3-1) is third, followed by Pepperdine (5-1) and Long Beach State (6-2).
