California standout commits to UH football

Chris Cole of Mission Viejo High in California has verbally committed to attend the University of Hawai'i on a football scholarship.

Cole, who is 5 feet 9 and 226 pounds, was named his league's Most Valuable Player on defense.

He played defensive line in high school but is projected to play outside linebacker at UH.

Mission Viejo won the California Interscholastic Federation championship this past season.
