Pearl City remains unbeaten in OIA hoops

Corey Tavares scored 13 points and Kapena Wong added 12 as visiting Pearl City beat Kapolei, 39-35, last night to remain unbeaten in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's Western Division.

The duo each scored 10 points in the Chargers' 22-point second half.

Pearl City improved to 7-0 and Kapolei dropped to 3-4.

Warren Simanu scored a game-high 14 points for Kapolei.
