Mainland racers to square off against Hawai'i drivers

Racers from the Mainland will face off against Hawai'i drivers in the Venom Racing in Hawai'i tomorrow at Hawai'i Raceway Park. Gates open at 2 p.m., with racing to follow at 3 p.m.

The classes will be quick, street and high-tech, and drivers will be competing for a total cash payout of $9,650.

Tickets are $15, while race entrants will be charged $55.



HUNTER EDUCATION

• Classes offered: The Hawai'i Department of Land and Natural Resources will be offering hunter education classes. The classes will cover firearms and archery safety, survival and first-aid, rules and regulations and other topics. There is no cost.

The classes will be at the Wai'anae Public Library, from 5:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 7 and from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 8.
