American Samoa runway cleared

Advertiser Staff

Hawaiian Airlines could resume flights between Honolulu and American Samoa as early as tomorrow, an airline spokesman said. The flights are pending a Federal Aviation Administration inspection of the main runway at Pago Pago International.

The carrier suspended its route between Honolulu and American Samoa on June 24, after two of its aircraft were damaged from loose gravel, rocks and other debris on the runway.
