STAGE

'On Golden Pond' continues

A 50-year relationship is jolted when a couple — Jim Tharp as Norman Thayer and Jan McGrath as Ethel Thayer — are asked to take in a teenager for the summer in "On Golden Pond," the play that became Henry Fonda's last movie. The film also starred Katharine Hepburn, who died last weekend. Both actors won Oscars for their roles. Excellent acting in The Actors' Group production makes this warm comedy as refreshing as a breeze off the lake, writes Advertiser stage critic Joseph Rozmiarek. Repeats at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays, and 4 p.m. Sundays through July 27 at The Yellow Brick Studio, 625 Keawe St. Tickets are $10. 722-6941.
