Tour bus overturns on Likelike Highway

A tour bus overturned on the Likelike Highway leaving one person in critical condition and another 10 with mostly minor injuries.

Authorities said the bus was on the town side of the Wilson Tunnel, near Valley View Drive.

Police shut the tunnel down shortly before 11 p.m., diverting motorists who approached it from the windward side.

Firefighters said they extricated the driver from the bus, and a police officer told dispatchers that the driver was taken to the Queen's Medical Center.

Emergency Medical Services delivered another 10 people to either Straub or Kuakini Hospital.
