Service Friday for Nanakuli accident victims

Advertiser Staff

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Kaneohe Missionary Baptist Church for Paul Brzezowski, 48, and his son Matthew, 7, who were killed June 27 when they were struck in a crosswalk in Nanakuli.

Aloha attire is requested at the church service. Their ashes will be scattered at sea after a memorial service at 10 a.m. Sunday at Poka'i Bay Beach Park.

Surviving family members include Brzezowski's wife, Donnalynn; sons, Paul, Roman, Bruce and Peter; daughters, Donna and Betty; and four grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established for the family, which is homeless. Contributions can be made to the Brzezowski Memorial Fund at any Bank of Hawaii branch or the Brzezowski Community Fund at any First Hawaiian Bank branch.

A benefit concert for the family will be held Aug. 24 to raise money for their expenses. To volunteer, contribute or help, call Ivan Laikupu at 696-2337 or Patty Teruya at 527-5815.
