Two men charged in $1 million crystal meth delivery

Federal prosecutors have charged two men with possession of more than 8 pounds of crystal methamphetamine worth about $1 million on the street.

The federal complaint, filed Monday in U.S. District Court, says the men intended to distribute the drugs.

According to the complaint, Shayne M. Crisolo and Eric Collier took possession of a large cardboard box delivered to them marked "Philips Television," containing crystal methamphetamine worth about $1 million, according to separate affidavits filed in federal court by Joyce Alapa and Jason S. Alznauer of the Honolulu High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force.

The affidavit says task force officers saw Crisolo accept delivery of the box, with Collier waiting in a Lexus sedan. The men took the box to an 'Eluwene Street address in Kalihi, the court document said.

Crisolo was arrested at 7:45 p.m., about two hours after leaving the 'Eluwene Street residence.

He told officers Collier was the intended recipient of the parcel, according to the affidavit. Crisolo said Collier promised him crystal meth for personal consumption in exchange for taking delivery of the package.

A detention hearing for Crisolo is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. tomorrow before Magistrate Leslie Kobayashi.

U.S. Assistant Attorney Constance Hassell declined to comment on the status of Collier, who is believed to be at large.
